They don't seem too happy about it over on the GAA board. Feel the football U-21 semis should get preference. In fairness the second half of Galway v Dublin was ditched last weekend once the football went into extra-time.

And so it should IMO. The U21 is an All Ireland semi final and was the original choice, I'd say there would be many a poster here having palpitations if an All Ireland U21 hurling semi was ditched in favour of a football league relegation play off. Dublin and Galway hurlers will get their day in the sun whereas one of these U21 teams will be gone this Saturday. Bad decision IMO or at least an unfair one.

TG4 were in a bit of a sticky situation last week , no one can argue that the Football semi finals had to take precedence over a play off match , but considering the two counties involved I would say that TG4 were disappointed themselves they could show so little of the hurling , Galway and Dublin would be two counties were they would have got a good proportion of viewers.

I suspect it was picked on what TG4 think will be the bigger viewing draw.

While that may be true, I don't think that should be the sole concern of tg4, especially when they had scheduled the u21 football. I'm sure there are a lot of disappointed Cavan and Ros fans whereas I'd say many Galway or Dublin fans would be slightly indifferent about whether they saw the relegation play off or not.

I think the Under 21 semi shoudl be given preference.TG4 only show 3 u-21 football championship games per year thats down to 2 now.Getting to an under 21 final is a bigger achivement than not getting relegated from division 1 in hurling in my opinion the u-21 match is much more important (theyll probably change the league structure next year meaning the hurling match could be irrelevant).Roscommon and Cavan is a novel pairing for an all ireland semi final Dublin vs Galway in hurling is a fairly common occurence.I havent seen the Roscommon or Cavan footballers this year nor have 99% of the GAA public.Galway and Dublin are constantly on TV.I hope TG4 will reverse their decision or at least show full coverage of the match

The Roscommon v Cavan game is being shown live on the TG4 website. Somehow I don't see them changing their decision again over the TV coverage.

I think it would be a great idea if all the intercounty fixtures were posted up here every week. With the TV channels as indicated. I think it would attract more footfall.

Could be made a sticky every week too!
